Privacy policy

Last updated 27 September 2026

jobchahiyeindia connects people looking for delivery, warehouse and similar work with companies that are hiring. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the jobchahiyeindia app, website and employer portal, why we need it, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to find you work or to find you staff.

Who we are

Job Chahiye India Pvt Ltd ("jobchahiyeindia", "we", "us") runs the jobchahiyeindia candidate app on Google Play, the website at jobchahiye.in and the employer portal. We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. Our registered office is at Divya Prakash Hall of Residence, Prachi Vihar, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar, Odisha 751025.

Employers (website and employer portal)

  • Your name, work email and profile photo from Google, or the email you sign in with.
  • Company name, GSTIN or UAN (optional), website, hub addresses and pincodes, contact person, phone and email.
  • Hiring requests (roles, headcount, shifts, skills, deadlines), shortlist and hiring decisions, and your notification settings.

Everyone

  • Messages you send through the website contact form.
  • Basic technical data when you use the website or portal: IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept in server logs for security.

We do not collect your contacts, SMS messages, call logs, precise location, or financial or health information, and we do not show ads.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in (Google sign-in or a one-time code sent to your email).
  • To call you, verify your details and match candidates with employers' hiring requests near them.
  • To show candidates jobs that employers post, and to pass a candidate's application to the employer they applied to.
  • If you choose “Let employers find me”, to count you as a matching candidate for employers' live jobs that fit you and are within your travel distance (employers see only how many match — nothing about you — until they pay to unlock).
  • For employers, to take payment for job posts and candidate unlocks, and to issue GST invoices and credit notes.
  • To send service messages by push notification and email — for example when you are matched with a company, hired, or when a request is closed. You can turn off job alert notifications in the app's Profile tab.
  • To answer complaints and support requests.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet legal obligations.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the service is used so we can improve it.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account and submit a request, and for legitimate uses allowed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (see below); this does not affect processing that already happened.

Who we share it with

  • Employers you are matched with. A company sees a candidate's profile (name, photo, experience, skills, languages, location, and resume if uploaded) only after our team shortlists that candidate for that company's request. Candidates see the name of the company they are matched with.
  • Employers whose job you apply to. When you tap Apply on a job in the app, that company gets your name, phone number, email, profile and resume (if uploaded) so they can call you. We show you this before you apply.
  • Employers who unlock your profile — only if you turn on “Let employers find me”. Companies cannot browse or search profiles. For one of their live jobs they see only how many matching candidates are available. If a company pays to unlock candidates for that job and you are one of them, it gets your name, phone number, email and resume, and may call you about jobs. This is off unless you switch it on (Profile tab), and you can switch it off any time: you are then no longer offered to companies, and companies that already unlocked you can no longer see your contact details or resume (we record every time a company views or exports them).
  • Service providers that run parts of the service for us under contract, only for that purpose: Google (Google Sign-In and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications), our cloud hosting and database provider, Cloudflare (file storage for photos and resumes), our email delivery provider, and Razorpay (processes employers' payments — we never see or store card, UPI or bank details).
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We do not share personal data for advertising. The only time an employer pays to see a candidate's contact details is when that candidate has chosen “Let employers find me”, as described above. Employers must use candidate details only to hire, and may not resell or pass them on.

Storage and security

  • All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Photos and resumes are stored in a private bucket and shown only through links that expire after 10 minutes.
  • Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and can be tried only a few times; sessions can be signed out from settings.
  • Staff access is limited to people who need it, needs a second step on new devices, and is logged.
  • Some providers may store data outside India, with safeguards required by law.

How long we keep it

  • Your account data is kept while your account is active.
  • When you delete your account, your profile, photo, resume, requests, complaints, referrals, sessions and devices are deleted straight away.
  • Backups are overwritten within [30] days. Records we must keep by law (for example employer invoices) are kept only for the period the law requires.

Your rights and choices

  • Access and correct — see and edit your details in the app (Profile → Edit) or employer portal (Company profile).
  • Delete — in the app, Profile → Delete account; employers, Settings → Delete account. Can't sign in? See how to delete your account.
  • Withdraw consent — turn off “Let employers find me” to stop being offered to companies, withdraw a job application in the app, turn off job alerts to stop notifications, or delete your account.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity, by writing to us.
  • Complain — to our Grievance Officer (below). If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We reply to requests within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Cookies

The website uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in to the employer portal and to remember your light or dark theme. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Google's sign-in button may set its own cookies when you use it.

Children

jobchahiyeindia is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if we learn we have, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
